International Credit Union Day 2022
This year, International Credit Union Day (ICU Day) falls on Thursday, October 20, 2022. The 2022 theme is “Empower your financial future with a credit union.” Empower your family and friends by referring them to Hickam FCU!
In addition to our Lucky Las Vegas Giveaway, members that visit any branch between October 17 – 22, 2022 will receive a free 2023 Hickam FCU Pocket Calendar and luggage tag. Limit one per member while supplies last.

Gas gift cards will be awarded to eligible members on a weekly basis. Limited to one gas gift card per loan closed. For mortgage loans and home equity line of credits, the signing date will be considered as the closing date. 2023 Annual Meeting, Virtual Once Again
The Hickam FCU Annual Meeting and Membership Celebration will continue to remain virtual in 2023. Members will be allowed to attend the Annual Meeting at the Pearl City Main Office. The Membership Celebration will be held online and through our seven branches. Please keep an eye out for the full details in our next newsletter.

Hawaii Foodbank Wrap-Up
The aloha spirit was truly shown throughout the last two months as we raised food and monetary donations for the Hawaii Foodbank. Together, we raised $7,500 and 500 pounds of food. That’s enough for 15,000+ meals! Thank you to our Board of Directors, staff, and members for helping us exceed our goal of $5,000 and for helping our island community in times of need.
Children's Miracle Network Fundraiser
Starting October 17, we will begin raising funds for Kapi‘olani Children’s Miracle Network. Funds raised will be contributed towards the Hawaii Credit Union League’s goal to raise $140,000 for a breast ultrasound machine in honor of the late Martha Smith.
Hickam FCU’s goal will be $3,000. Help us reach this goal by November 26, 2022! You can donate at our branches or online at the button below.
Online and Mobile Banking Features that Detect and Protect Against Identity Theft
Equip yourself with the tools to prevent and detect identity theft attempts. By using our Hickam FCU Online and Mobile Banking, you can take advantage of various features to keep you and your finances safe.
Accounts Summary
Here is a quick and convenient way to check your most recent transactions. By logging on to Online Banking or using our Mobile App, you can check your transactions as frequently as you want. This will enable you to catch suspicious activity early. You can also set up “Alerts” for an extra sense of security. Alerts can be customized to send you a notification depending on several factors including the specific account you want to monitor, the type of transaction that is occurring, and the amount being transacted.
Card Control
Similarly, with our Hickam FCU Card Control App, you can monitor and set up alerts for transactions made on your debit and credit cards. If you lose your card or suspect fraudulent activity, you can even lock your card through the app to prevent thieves from using it.
Credit Score
Your credit score and report can give key indicators if your identity has been compromised. Hickam FCU members can check their credit as often as they like at no charge through Credit Sense in Online and Mobile Banking. This comprehensive report contains your credit score and the different factors that comprise it. Keep an eye out for red flags like higher-than-normal utilization or inquiries that you did not make.
eStatements
Enroll in eStatements to receive your statement in a quick and secure fashion. eStatements can be accessed within Online and Mobile Banking from anywhere and at any time. This is faster and safer than waiting for a paper statement to arrive in the mail. Paper statements can also be stolen from unsecured mailboxes. Make the switch to eStatements today.
