Hickam Federal Credit Union Social Media Public Use Policy

We welcome member and non-member participation as a means of sharing experiences, suggesting improvements, and contributing to conversations. Our social media pages are public and we are not responsible for views expressed other than our own.

We intend to maintain a friendly and professional atmosphere. Please be respectful and use appropriate language and tone when posting and/or commenting. To ensure that content is respectful of diverse viewpoints and lawful, we will review all comments and reserve the right to remove or not post any comments that are not productive or acceptable such as:

  • Profane, obscene, inappropriate, threatening, hateful, offensive, or inflammatory language.
  • Sexually or graphically explicit, indecent, or pornographic material of any kind, including symbols, characterizations, or suggestive images or words.
  • Personal attacks or any abusive, defamatory, derogatory, harassing, or intimidating behavior.
  • Discriminatory or hateful language of any kind regarding age, gender, race, religion, nationality, sexual orientation, or disability.
  • Spam or malicious linking to any kind of malware, virus, spyware, or program that could cause harm to user’s computer or personal information.
  • Illegal activity that violate laws that govern the use of copyrights, trade secrets, etc.
  • Private or confidential information that includes any of your specific account details or other personal information including phone number, email address, address, or other contact information.
  • Posts in HTML format (URLs). Please use plain text when submitting comments.
  • Posts from individuals appearing under the age of 13.
  • Off topic comments not related to the subject of the conversation or vary greatly from the overall theme of a particular discussion thread.
  • Photos or videos of children, celebrities, or images of friends in unflattering poses or of staff or members without their permission.

We may occasionally post links to third-party sites that are informative or helpful. However, this does not in any way constitute an endorsement of the site or the company it represents.

Our social media pages are monitored Monday through Friday, during business hours between 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Hawaii Standard Time. We will make every effort to respond in a timely manner during business hours. Should you need immediate assistance, please call our Call Center at 808-423-1391 during business hours.

Hickam Federal Credit union reserves the right to change these terms and guidelines at any time at its sole discretion.
